McCain Picks Running Mate

John McCain has finally made a decision...and we'll have to wait until Friday morning to know who he picked.

WASHINGTON — Sen. John McCain has decided on his running mate, two Republican strategists in contact with McCain's campaign said Wednesday. He is expected to reveal his choice at a rally at a basketball arena in Dayton, Ohio, at 11 a.m. Friday.

I don't know a lot about Sarah Palin but what I do know, I like. She seems like a genuine conservative. A Christian Protestant who grew up in the FCA and who is pro-life. Despite knowing her son had Downs Syndrome, she never considered aborting and describes him as "perfect". A reputation for fiscal responsibility and governmental transparency has apparently led to her 80 percent approval rating indicating that Alaskans are pleased with her administration. If she is selected, it will be interesting to see how that affects the independent vote in November. On the surface...not a bad choice, if indeed that is the choice he makes.
