Paolino serious about 17th Dist. Senate seat

From Tony Phyrillas Blog:

How serious is Lisa Paolino about winning the Republican nomination to run in the 17th District state Senate race?

Paolino's campaign announced today that she has raised more than $100,000 in her bid to run for the seat being vacated by Democratic state Sen. Connie Williams.
Paolino, a Radnor Township Commissioner, began raising money in earnest in mid-February, according to her campaign.

"Obviously I am gratified and thrilled with the terrific financial response I have received in the past few weeks," Paolino said in a press release. "Having now raised more than $100,000, I am confident that I can run an aggressive campaign to win the Republican Primary, and then take this seat back for the GOP in November."

Dear Annonymous,

What exactly are you calling fluff??? Is raising $100,000 in a matter of weeks fluff?

And, why the sarcastic remark about a "favorite grocery store". Do you have a problem with a woman running for office?

It's all fluff, and $100k is peanuts. Where did it come from? How much is family related money? After all, she comes from a large family doesn't she? And doesn't her family have Conshy and Norristown roots?

No one has a problem with women running for public office. It's just that the press releases Ms. Paolino generates are for the most part somewhat silly.

As a female candidate she has to rise above and stand out even MORE than a male candidate because politics is still male dominated, right or wrong.

And as way of FYI, who else does Ms. Paolino have endorsing her other then the Radnor GOP (like they had a choice)?

Montgomery County and Delaware County GOP have endorsed Lance Rogers, Andy Lewis from Delaware County Council has endorsed Lance Rogers, DA Risa Vetri Ferman has endorsed Lance Rogers, Congressman Jim Gerlach has endorsed Lance Rogers. And who knows who else is endorsing Candidate Rogers as the list seems to grown daily?

So how much of what Ms. P has earned is being spent on those TV commercials she's been seen filming? When and where will they air?

This race is very amusing, all in all, actually. Remember... "You want to be taken seriously, you need serious hair."

Ha ha ha
