I found this on PoliticsPA's "Ups and Downs" page. Seems like people will jsut about find any reason to challenge a hero (I particularly love that last line):
In the “are you kidding me?” category, we have to shake our heads at the pundits with too much time on their hands who are raising the question of whether or not John McCain is actually eligible to become President because of where he was born. Yup – nutty. As the son of a military officer, McCain was not born in the continental United States but rather, in the Panama Canal Zone where his father was stationed. When he first ran for the Senate in Arizona after living there for only two years, his opponents called him a carpetbagger. McCain explained that growing up in a military family, and being a serviceman himself, he had to move around his whole life, with his longest place of residence being the Hanoi Hilton in Vietnam. Touché. Hopefully another comeback is on its way for this latest bit of ridiculousness. And PS...We wonder if anyone has noticed that McCain was a POW for longer than Barack Obama's been a US Senator...
