Follow-Up from Commissioner's Meeting

From today's "Bulletin":

Norristown - The Montgomery County Board of Commissioners voted 2-1 Thursday to transfer back from the county $200,000 and $585,000 respectively to the Clerk of Courts' office and the Prothonotary's office.

Commissioners Jim Matthews (R) and Joe Hoeffel (D) voted to return the funds based on the assessment of County Controller Diane Morgan (D) and Solicitor Barry Miller (R) that the former clerk of courts and former prothonotary had improperly transferred the funds out of their offices to the county general fund before leaving office in January. Republican Commissioner Bruce Castor voted against the return of the funds.

Once again, RINO Matthews spits in the face of the Republican Party and gives in to Prince Joe's liberal agenda. I hope that at the end of the year, as Nancy Becker queried, anybody who spends that money will be found to have broken the law, and King James is named as an accomplice.

Bill,

How did Jim Matthews rise to power in the MontCo GOP anyway? I have a feeling that would be a very interesting story.

And, can you give us readers some background on Joe Hoffel switching from Republican to Democrat? Did his voter registration decision have anything to do with his law practice, law partners, or clients?
