Bob Sander and Gordon Clement both believe that we need to end the party infighting and start to forge ahead to bring unity to our "fractured" party.
The two pooled their thoughts into a single, three page letter that most of us Montgomery County Committee-people received in the mail today. I've got the file, saved as a pdf, for you to download and read at your leisure:

In the letter, Bob points out that he started his campaign for Controller way back in 2006, before Bruce put his hat in the ring for Commissioner...I know this to be absolutely true, as I was the outreach coordinator for candidates for Area 6 and he contacted me as early as June or July of that year to schedule time to address our committee.Dr. Gordon Clement is a well respected physician and I owe my life to him (he performed emergency surgery and saved my life back in 1998...another story for another time). He is a stand-up guy and did not run away and hide after his close defeat by Dr. Hoffman. He is staying involved with the party and deserves the utmost respect for his stalwart involvement in Montgomery County politics.
I'm impressed with both of their professionalism and candor, and hope that we can all, very soon, put this issue to bed and be done with it.

I know that you cannot win them all in politics, but, the loss of the controller spot goes to show how important every row office was and to hear how they were left swinging in the wind is terrible. Bob Sander is a fantastic candidate and would have been the best for this county. My hopeis to see him on a ballot i can support again soon!

Bob Sander has integrity and strength of his convictions. I for one was glad to receive his letter, letting us - the committee who worked our tails off for the ENTIRE GOP ticket, know exactly what happened. He signed his name to it and stood behind his words.
Let's see, are you a dem or just one of those who like to see the fight continue. Or maybe you are one who helped craft this abominal decision to hand our county to the Dems. Enjoy your upcoming tax bill!
