My Dear Readers,
I have begun to screen the comments posted to my blog and, if any are found to be objectionable (read: could my kids read them") or, if they attack family members of any of the people I blog about, they will not be posted.
I'm all for cheers and jeers, but let's keep it informative and entertaining.
Why?
I am an avid reader of blogs. Very recently one of my favorite haunts posted a comment by an anonymous poster that contained inflammatory and slanderous accusations directed at the family of a local politician. This was uncalled for and was subsequently removed from the blog.
Attack the woman/man if you will, but leave the family alone. Most times they aren't comfortable with the public life of their loved one and should not be targeted as thought they were.
As far as I'm concerned, attack me all you want. I blog the truth as only I can see it, your truth may be different.
But, I'm a fan of healthy debate and will give all reasonable dissenting opinions their blog-time, as I have with the post below.

Ken placed the first endorsement meeting in John’s territory! I was surprised to learn that we would be voting there. I actually thought that was done for John.
Lance solicited and visited and sat with many committeepeople in John’s territory and over 25 of them committeed to Lance...so they must of ended up voting for him (you never know, they could have changed their mind, but obviously they did not because the vote was 112-57). IF those people in John’s territory voted FOR John, then the outcome would have been 25 votes over to the 57 and it would have been MUCH closer. THERE WERE ONLY 87 LOWER MERION COMMITTEEPEOPLE THERE, YOU DO THE MATH.
John Durante NEVER made an appointment or even bothered to come by and knock on my door (and they all have lists). I would have listened and made a decision (that is my job as a committeeperson). There have been MANY times when I have heard a candidate and changed my mind even on an endorsement night!
Lance pounded pavement...and it showed! By the way, there were people that came on BOTH sides that were NOT committeepeople.
It is crazy for someone to complain about Sarah from Jim Gerlach’s office to be there...SHE NEEDED SIGNATURES FOR JIM, THAT IS OUR JOB TO SIGN...WHAT BETTER WAY TO SIGNATURES THEN FROM A BUNCH OF REPUBLICANS?
Also, I can’t say anything (because I don’t know about Lisa’s situation), but she has NOT contacted me either! ALSO, Lance was never a Democrat- others that that worked in the Clinton White House on intern and junior level were Republican...so obviously you don't have to be a democrat to work there.
The Republican party NEEDS young, smart, enthusiastic people INTERESTED in moving the party forward...Lance might not have been a Republican; but his values lie within the Republican party, and it clearly shows on how he has voted as a Lower Merion Commissioner!
NO VOTES ON ANY TAX INCREASES, HE IS A PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHTS ACTIVIST ETC. ETC.
SO, THE REPUBLICAN PARTY SHOULD BE HAPPY TO HAVE A COMMITTED CANDIDATE WILLING TO RUN IN THIS CLIMATE WHERE MANY PEOPLE ARE AFRAID TO ADMIT THEY ARE A REPUBLICAN, OR WORSE, THEY ARE A REPUBLICAN IN NAME ONLY...THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA AND THE 148TH DISTRICT SHOULD BE PROUD TO HAVE SOMEONE THAT TRULY CAN AND WILL REPRESENT OUR PARTY.

Ken Davis excluded the only female candidate, and you, Mr. LM/N, fail to address that issue. In fact, you try to avoid that issue by posting your comment in a section of the Writemarsh blog that doesn't talk about the ONLY 17th District endorsement convention and Ken Davis' deliberate exclusion of the ONLY female candidate.
Why are you still trying to defend that sham of an "endorsement convention"?
We'll have to take your word as to how hard the three GOP candidates campaigned -- but let's remember that yours is the word of a Lower Merion person who only wants Lower Merion represented in the 17th District. Doesn't anything else matter (like equal representation or equal protection under the law)?
Answer the real question: Was the fix in, and did Ken Davis fix the race to make sure the only female candidate would never be allowed to be voted on for the endorsement -- Listen to the Ken Davis phone message on the Writemarsh blog and get your answer.
Remember what the earlier post said. Can you refute the evidence?
Here's the central question, as stated in the earlier comment:
The problem is, Ken Davis' Monday night meeting at the T.K. Club was the only endorsement convention for the 17th District Senate Seat. Anything held after that night would be nothing but a sham.
There are important constitutional and statutory rights involved here.
Ken Davis deliberately excluded one third of the Committee people from the only 17th District Senate Seat endorsement convention. Even more importantly, a female candidate was not allowed to attend and was not placed on the only ballot for the 17th District Senate Seat GOP endorsement. Do the math -- approximately 50 female Committee people were excluded by Ken Davis when he excluded the DelCo committee people as half of the DelCo Committee people are women.
If a woman was on the 17th District Senate Seat ballot, there was a chance she would have garnered many votes from the women of the Montgomery County GOP Committee. Half of the MontCo GOP committee are women, after all. If she wasn't such a threat, then why did Ken Davis consider her a problem.
Well, we'll never know how a legitimate vote would have turned out. Ken Davis made sure of it, as his phone message posted on www.writemarsh.com makes clear.
