Ken Davis is quoted in today's Times Herald concerning the filling of empty committee seats:
“We want people who will work,” said Davis, describing what he seeks in a committee person.
What Ken soon forgets is that he appointed a multitude of these committee people, who's involvement has been nothing more than a vote on convention night. He also invoked what he called "chairman's prerogative" and allowed people who received as little as 1 write-in vote to become committee people (the standard minimum has always been 10 votes)
“These are our foot soldiers on which we have to rely if we, as a party, and our candidates want to succeed,” said county GOP Chairman Ken Davis.

How about what Ken Davis did to Lisa Paolino?
My God, that should be on the front page of your Writemarsh blog instead of burried at:

Bob Guzzardi was so right about Ken Davis. I found this PaWatercooler article, and it is so on point. http://pawatercooler.com/?p=2863
Here it is:
The Davis Pile November 12 2007
Filed under Counties - Montco by AlexC
I hate to pick on Montco GOP Chairman Ken Davis today, but on the heels of Tony Phyrillas’ (of the Pottstown Mercury) pounding of him comes Stan Huskey in the Times-Herald.
It’s not online, so it’s scanned and posted after the jump.
Stan doesn’t mince words.
Ken Davis, reacted to the Democrats taking five of the county’s nine row office seats more like a child caught slacking off on his school work.
I would give his remarks after last week’s election the cache of a cornered dog. At least they come out fighting.
His remarks didn’t even have the teeth of Tyson’s ear gnawing. And yes, the pun was intended.
His remarks sounded more like a kid who just helped his school lose the regional debating tournament, but had too much of an ego to think that might have had anything to do with the loss.
Ken Davis’ comments after Tuesday’s election were embarrassing to me as a Republican and as a professional. I would hope he has had the time to reflect on what he said and believes the same.
Read the entire column below, including (especially) the last section about Matthews.
Stan, if you really want to be embarrassed, I’m guessing you didn’t see the email that’s floating around Montgomery County political circles from Mr. Davis to a Montgomery County conservative activist, philanthropist and political contributor. Long time Davis thorn Bob Guzzardi.
Sent last Wednesday (roughly the same time he blamed Castor for not having coattails), titled “We win, you lose” he berates Mr. Guzzardi in, to quote Douglas Neidermeyer, language which decorum prohibits listing it here.
In any case, based on last Tuesday’s election results, and the week ensuing, I would not expect a re-election bid from Mr. Davis this year.

Tony Phyrillas said it best:
"The longer Davis remains as chairman, the worse things will get for the party. His term expires in 2008, but he's done enough damage already."
