Pennsylvania's top Republican came to Montgomery County on Wednesday to stump for the GOP's county ticket, headed by commissioner candidates Bruce L. Castor Jr. and Jenny Brown.
State GOP Chairman Rob Gleason admitted that he did not know much about the individual party candidates running for the nine county row offices and the two bench seats but that what he knows about them collectively is enough for his stamp of approval.
"The platform of the team here is the platform of the Republican Party — hold the line on taxes, stop excessive spending and borrowing, reduce the size of government, create jobs and grow the economy," said Gleason, flanked by the GOP candidates at the county courthouse in Norristown.
